God Forgives Bacon

This week’s episode starts a little flat due to our abnormal recording time. However, we jump right into it by posing a question to you the listener, “What should the house rules be for phone usage when recording outside the bar?”. Leave your comments below, and we’ll pick the best one for our new rule. We quickly digress into the re-watchability of certain movies. Finally we get back on topic and tallied the total experience points that Sean received during his Level Up celebration. From there we recap the epic collapse of 3 of the top 5 teams in college football. Which leads into NBA preseason and MLB post season, which Sean does not acknowledge exists. Berg brings in a little culture by previewing the Portland Tattoo Expo, while Sean previews his actual birthday weekend, visiting friends and family in LA. Berg and Lance are excited for the new movie Argo, and discuss the evolution of Ben Affleck, highlights and misfires, both acting and directing.

Tucker's 42nd Birthday

IT’S TUCKER’S BIRTHDAY!!! This past weekend we celebrated another year passing to the wayside for Old Man Tucker. We smoked some hookah down at the Pied Cow, then crawled our way over to the World Famous Belmont Inn and picking up the wonderfully polite homeless dude, Thomas, and finally ending up at the Space Room for some Purple Aliens. Money missed out on the shenanigans, while heading up north to attend a ancillary friend’s wedding. While Tucker tries to finish the Rogue birthday gauntlet, we talk a bit about some recent sports developments. Lance clues us in on how Brandon Roy screwed the Blazers by signing with the Timberwolves. And Sean recounts the MLB trade deadline acquisitions that the Dodgers made, while making a bold prediction of a World Series Champion. Lance thinks otherwise, and a bet is made. As we’re all getting a little older, we ponder what our younger selves would think of where our lives have taken us. Some have good thoughts and some of us our a little disappointed. What do you think your younger self would think of where you are now? Tonight is National Night Out! So check in with your local bar or block party, or if you’re in the Portland Metro area, head down to the Jolly Roger in John's Landing and join us as we record live. There will be $2 burgers and dogs, beer specials, live music from local musicians The Eddyville Band, and of course…US!!! Join us in the mic and maybe win some prizes.

My Deer Friend

We finally have the whole crew back together. Jeremy fills us in on his nuptials in Hawaii, along with his rolling brownouts. We had to expand our horizons and venture out to a new Taco Tuesday joint; one word, FAIL and the Quest continues. We all voice our opinions on the launch of Nike’s new NFL uniforms. Money finds fault with Seattle’s, but then again it is Seattle so it is to be expected. After the quick bash of Seattle, we flip flop to how great of a time we had there this weekend. Sean and Lance hit up the Emerald City Comic Con, while Money enjoys the finale of his birthday week. While at the party, Lance and Sean investigate the origins of the name Money and come up short. At the end of the night Money, Sean and Lance, along with countless other Seattlites, partake in a Seattle Late Night tradition and stuff their mouths full of Dick’s. Once we’ve finally beaten the dead horse so much it wouldn’t even come back as a zombie, we wrap up the night with reminiscing about past run-in’s with the Police. Do you have a good cop story? Monsieur Johnson

Join us this week as we enjoy the last taco night at the Candlelight and we start our “Quest for Tacos”. That’s right, in the name of public transportation, the city is demolishing our beloved taco spot to make room to extend the MAX to Milwaukie. Lance declares his candidacy on the ticket of the Extreme Meat Party, and he already has found two supporters. In other news, kickball has started back up again and we reminisce about the glory of our first win. Lance also explains his 3 rules for winning kickball games. As we celebrate the win, Money has more to celebrate this week…his birthday! After all the hype, Money’s birthday week is upon us. We get updated as to how it’s been going so far. And, March Madness is upon us, so we place our picks and Money celebrates his Division II School, the great Western Washington Vikings, winning their bracket. On the subject of school, we all look fondly back as to what our favorite classes were. What were some of yours? Let us know as you fondly listen to another episode of Taco Tiki Tuesday.
